Following coverage of Timepix launch in their magazine earlier in the year the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors requested a fuller article for their annual review.

Civil Engineering surveyors will all be familiar with Ordnance Survey maps and may often need to refer back to the historical maps as well as using modern OS maps so it was an opportunity to explain the story of the postwar survey of Britain and to explain the techniques used.

The article extends to four pages with plenty of photographs.

If you are technically minded and like maps and engineering the rest of the review is also an interesting read.
