Troughton21f, 1860s carte de visite by unknown photographer
Portrait of a young woman wearing a crinoline and with centre parted hair and shoulder length ringlets. By the side of her a sculpture of a dancer above a bowl (a trophy?) sits on the table with some books. She uses one of the books to help her stand steady. Within the album the photo looks perfectly orderly, but the card itself shows the set has been temporarily erected outside, perhaps to gain sufficient light.
