Interesting family portrait with domestic overtones as the woman is fully involved in helping the little girl rather than paying attention to the camera. This seems to be one of Deresk's earlier photographs, with a fussy collection of furniture. The husband is seated as befits the head of the family and has his arm around a boy (side parting) in a dress with tartan sash. He is wearing a suit with watch chain.
